A casa di amici 19 anni fa conosce una splendida ragazza, che oggi è sua moglie. A 20 anni studia Giurisprudenza e nel tempo libero è appassionato di grafica e tecnologia. Mentre fa finta di studiare in biblioteca un suo amico lo coinvolge in una delle prime web agency in Italia. Ci mette un po’ a capire che la Facoltà di Legge non fa per lui e lascia l’Università a pochi esami dalla laurea per diventare uno ‘smanettone’. Studia allo IED e dopo pochi anni diventa docente, creando uno dei primi web magazine digitali di fotografia e travel, le sue più grandi passioni. Emanuele è art director freelance e non smette mai di viaggiare con sua moglie Melissa. In Kenia un ragazzo del luogo lo invita a cena a casa sua, dove si mangia a terra con le mani sotto gli occhi curiosi dei passanti. Un’esperienza surreale e da ripetere. Emanuele pranza nelle case particular cubane, a San Francisco mangia in un garage e in Thailandia degusta insetti take away. Il modo migliore per conoscere la cultura di un luogo è entrare nelle case della gente, parlare con loro e mangiare il cibo tipico. Per anni Emanuele si siede in tavole di tutti i colori e sapori finchè non decide di aprire le porte di casa sua. Ma’ Hidden Kitchen Supper Club è a Milano in un accogliente e magico loft, dove l’aria è inebriante e ogni oggetto è carico di storia. Gli ingredienti per il suo piatto preferito sono viaggio, foto e cibo. Tra i fornelli la sua dolce metà, Melissa, ama sperimentare e raccontare culture culinarie lontane attraverso ricette rivisitate italian style. A tavola si sta in otto, il numero perfetto per conversare e condividire la bottiglia di vino che porta l’ospite, un po’ come a casa di amici. / 19 years ago at a friend’s house he meets a beautiful girl, who is now his wife. At 20, studied Law and leisure is passionate about graphics and technology. While pretending to study in the library a friend involves him in one of the first web agency in Italy. It takes a while to understand that the Faculty of Law is not for him and left the University a few exams after graduation to become a “geek”. He studied at the IED and a few years later became professor, creating one of the first web digital photography and travel magazine, his greatest passions. Emanuele is a freelance art director and it never ceases to travel with his wife Melissa. In Kenya, a local boy invites him to dinner at his house, where you can eat on the floor with your hands under the curious eyes of passers-by. And a surreal experience to be repeated. Emanuele lunch in homes Particular Cuban eats in San Francisco in a garage and taste insects in Thailand take away. The best way to experience the culture of a place is to enter the houses of the people, talk to them and eat typical food. For years Emanuele sits in panels of all colors and flavors until you decide to open the doors of his house. The ingredients for his favorite dish trip, photos and food. In the kitchen his sweetheart, Melissa, loves to experiment and tell culinary cultures through distant revisited recipes italian style. A table is eight, the perfect number for conversation and then share your bottle of wine by the host, a bit ‘like a friend’s house.

– il tuo motto… chi rimanda sarà il leader del domani. Vivere alla giornata senza programmare, quando devo partire preparo la valigia poco prima di uscire. Melissa mi completa, lei pianifica tutto con largo anticipo.
– il tuo colore… rosso, come tutto ciò che è irrazionale. Oltre ad essere un colore che apprezzo esteticamente, rispecchia il mio essere istintivo ed impulsivo.
– la tua parola chiave… curiosità, la continua scoperta di nuovi modi di vivere, sono sempre stato attratto dalla diversità delle persone.
– cosa ha fatto scattare il cambiamento… il desiderio di fare qualcosa per me.
– cosa o chi ti ha ispirato… ambienti e culture diverse e lontane; viaggiare mi arricchisce di conoscenza e ogni volta che torno a Milano porto con me qualcosa di nuovo, che in qualche modo mi cambia.
– la goccia che ha fatto traboccare il tuo vaso…non sopportavo più le logiche lavorative del mio settore, crescendo sono diventato pigro, non riesco più a seguire un progetto in cui non credo. Preferisco un piatto di pasta e un bicchiere di latte ad una sfavillante auto sportiva.
– salto nel vuoto o nel materasso… il materasso è scomodo! lo dico sempre a Melissa che lo dobbiamo cambiare… quindi salto nel vuoto tutta la vita, per la voglia di nuovo e di continuare sempre a stupire se stessi.
– la crisi, opportunità o minaccia… entrambe, si sente dal punto di vista economico, mentre non esiste crisi a livello creativo.
– presente e passato: il tuo prima e il tuo adesso… presente da vivere e passato da rivistare. Il passato è ispirazione ed è una costante nella mia vita. Sono affascinato dall’estetica delle case anni ‘20, dal modernariato, dalla cucina tradizionale, dall’ospitalità genuina di un tempo in cui potevi lasciare la chiave nella porta di casa.
– progetti futuri…top secret! nuove idee che forse prenderanno vita…

– in life you are… a chronic curious.
– your motto in life… who delay will be the leaders of tomorrow. Live day by day without programming, when I have to start preparing your suitcase just before leaving. Melissa completes me, you plan everything well in advance.
– your colour… red, like everything that is irrational. In addition to being aesthetically appreciate a color that reflects my being instinctive and impulsive.
– your key word… curiosity, the continuous discovery of new ways of living, I have always been attracted by the diversity of people.
– what triggered the change… the desire to do something for me.
– what or who inspired you… different environments and cultures distant and travel knowledge and enriches me every time I go back to Milan with me something new, that somehow changes me.
– what was the straw that broke the camel’s back… I could not stand the logic working in my field, growing up I became lazy, I can no longer follow a project in which I do not think. Opt for a plate of pasta and a glass of milk at a glittering sports car.
– jumping into a void or a mattress… the mattress is uncomfortable! I always say to Melissa that we have to change … then leap into life, the desire for new and always continue to amaze themselves.
– the crisis: opportunity or threat… both, feels from the economic point of view, while there is no crisis creative level.
– past and present: how things were or how things are… present to live and to revisit the past. The past is inspiration and it is a constant in my life. I’m fascinated by aesthetics of the houses ’20s, from modern art, from traditional cuisine, genuine hospitality of a time when you could leave the key in the door.
– future plans… top secret! new ideas that may come to life …
Emanuele è giusto perché … torna dai suoi viaggi con valigie piene di idee e apre casa sua alla curiosità di sconosciuti.
